Advice: I Ching: 24 The Turning Point
Life, with all its twists & turns, can make things so difficult that it’s easy to lose direction & feel lost. In these moments, it helps to have an instructing force providing guidance to help ease the hardships and problems we all must go through. So whether it’s you coaching another as a father would or The Father providing guidance here for you, it’s never an easy task to deliver difficult life truths; well-meaning messages that although hard to hear, are for our own good. If playing the fatherly role, your strength is in your ability to put aside emotional feelings for the time being and focus on the rational while pulling on your wealth of experience. Your advice may be hard to take but don’t get tied up in knots about having to deliver this message. Adopt a level headed approach and come from a place of sincere instruction. All you can do is cheer them on by the sidelines and assist by calling out when they have gone afoul. Encourage them to stay on course & accept responsibility knowing that no one can travel the path of their life but them. The advice here is to return to walking the proper path and forgiveness for oneself if they have traveled down wrong roads in the past. A new turn in life is on the horizon and a new cycle is set to take place. Don’t let them get so used to hopelessness that they cannot recognize regeneration is around the corner.
If it’s you having trouble finding your way, remember to play on your strength of having the ability to think things through…to make decisions using common sense, analysis & reason rather than impulse or illogical emotionality. Be aware that overthink could leave you in knots complicating matters further. Leave the complicated & return to the simple. Return to what you know. Don’t force change but be receptive & let things progress at a natural pace. You just have to start doing something -heading in some direction- the rest will sort itself out. Remember that nothing lasts forever and although it may seem confusing not knowing what’s coming up around the bend, the scenery is forever changing despite the occasional standstill. It’s in these moments of inertia where you can fine tune any plans, do additional research or learn a new skill. Life will pick up again. Take care of the basics & yourself in very simple ways. Enjoy the relaxation when you can get it trusting that life will bring a new phase soon enough, just when you need it
