“Now’s Not the Time”

It would be a serious error in judgement and not worth tempting the good time you are enjoying by trying to persuade others to your arguments or try to sell anyone on anything as it will not go well for you. One would think it’s the perfect time to pitch an idea or have a discussion while the wine flows & everyone’s feeling good, but it could turn sour quickly & result in a wounded ego as well as reputation. You may be misjudging another’s receptiveness to your proposition or conversation. Now’s not the time. Know your audience & appreciate there’s a time & place for everything or else risk damaging a relationship whether it’s in your professional or personal life. Mixing business with pleasure or bringing up something controversial during a family get together may result in damnation, prejudice & a loss of faith in you. People could turn on you. Communication is cut off- Coolness sets in. Both the Hermit & Standstill warn “Wise men note that the situation is dangerous - Retreat into introspection, modesty and meditation”. Very little of value can be accomplished at this time so withdraw but keep the faith. Consider revisiting this thought when everyone’s sober or under quieter circumstances. Let somber introspection rule & keep quiet until you know where you stand before introducing any new ideas. In the meantime, just enjoy the party & each other’s company.
