Our desires are determined by our view of ourselves and the world. Jealousy can cloud our heart and spirit making it difficult to feel joy for others’ good fortune or appreciate their accomplishments. Resentment leaves us empty & hollow within. It distorts how we view ourselves therefore we diminish our own abilities.
The blackness of this dark emotion could manipulate your self-perception and have you amplifying your weaknesses while ignoring your strengths. In fact, you may have turned your back on your value oblivious to their potential & actual importance. So not only are you denying yourself happiness, which is self-destructive, but you are starving others from benefiting from your gift. God/Universe gives us certain inborn talents, life circumstances, and physical possessions with which to fulfill our role in life. What is the purpose of these fine things if they are not used? Instead of craving, we can acknowledge & embrace these gifts. It’s your duty then, to unveil & release that potential inside you. What’s holding you back? Recognize & dim the light on your inner critic. Dust off an old idea that’s been hanging around or perhaps a new idea is waiting to be cultivated with some nourishment. Once the “lightbulb” goes on, you will realize you have been keeping something delightful from others-something very special & needed-a wonder that will be very much appreciated, respected & in demand.
So, you see there is no need to feel envy because you have your own talents within arm’s reach to fill yourself on -Rediscover what “you have to bring to the table”.
