Historically humans have strained to know what’s written in the stars regarding our destiny & potential, especially during challenging times. We have looked to the Stars for guidance; to show our way home, to safer shores or to at least reorientation. Always pointing us to the “Bigger Picture”, The Stars encourages us to hold a larger perspective - allowing us to see difficulties in another context. Time tempers the severity of challenges. What seems life shattering today will lessen in pain a month or a year from now. What seems impossible today may prove to be a real possibility month from now. However, at present, it just seems so hard to manifest anything good & real. These days, positive gains or any improvement of circumstances seem out of reach as all we see are the energies & powers creating difficulties in obtaining them.  The Stars speak to the influencing connections & forces that work with or against us. Are they supporting or hindering our process or are they completely indifferent abandoning us to figure out how to best play the cards we have been given set against our free will choices? The rune asks we have faith in justice since Tiwaz symbolizes positive ordering of the Cosmos & humanity through law & justice & our moral compass. This speaks to the common justice of the people -Perhaps Natural law overseen by Divine Forces -& not the law misused or weaponized by tyrants. That what’s meant to be, shall be, in due time. Here, Tiwaz speaks to sacrifice – the sacrifice of the Self for the greater whole- this aspect having to do with the Divine projecting a portion of itself into this realm to save it as well as our own personal sacrifice. To be prepared to endure strife for greater good that will benefit everyone, not just ourselves -as this rune rejects all selfish thoughts & actions.  We are presented an opportunity to apply sound leadership in the face of adversity. To apply right action & honor -keeping the peace yet at the same time fighting for what’s right & just.  Here we see the courageous spirit of those awakening spiritual warriors entering into initiation. Aspiring to a higher call believing that a right cause is worth the sacrifice and with it bringing a spiritual breakthrough with new levels of understanding. Know the long road ahead will be met by opposition that will require strength of conviction.  There is victory in this battle….possibly with unexpected cost or a painful price but like the pointed spear shape of Tiwaz, we must target our energies in the single most correct place -to hold all that is Good & Prosperous in our hands once again.

On a mundane level, we are encouraged to stay true to our word-keep our commitments. & there can be no justice without fairness & no fairness without empathy. Its’ through these experiences we get to know ourselves & gain understanding of the struggles of others.  Be true & calm & don’t be thrown off balance by the engineered chaotic atmosphere trying to bring you down.
