Letting your scattered mind have a well-needed rest will help avoid knee jerk reactions. Fear & depleted self-confidence have usually been the underlying cause of feeling prickly & lashing out impetuously. Presently, you are striving to discipline your impulsivity & overcome your defensiveness which can leave you ripe for a quarrel- and you don’t want to do that. Words can hurt & once they are said, you can’t take them back. They instantly change the vibe of the whole room. One biting comment could have the whole crowd turn on you so be conscious on how you are coming across. A sharp tongue can end up being self-defeating and undermine what you are trying to develop for yourself. Adapting a mature & respectful attitude in how you communicate will help you to be seen as a person of authority who has their reactions & compulsions in check. Overcoming these reactions are a process. You can’t just “hurry up and just get there already”. You will get the victory but it takes maturity, willpower and self-discipline. Get a win for yourself that will last. You are only as good as your last time at bat. It takes commitment to be a Hall of Famer and not a flash in the pan.
You need to still get clear & know your stuff thoroughly before you can be celebrated as a person who knows what their talking about. Adopting a sobering state of self-discipline would serve you well now. Know that it’s you and you only that has control over how you react- regardless of how others behave. Don’t get pulled down into speaking or thinking that is detrimental and has no integrity. That might mean staying on a schedule, getting enough healthy food & sleep, making structured time to spend on a project, family, work. Avoiding anything that might detract you from achieving this goal and disturbing your clarity.
