“Self Interest is Center Stage”

The focus this week is on the bonds you’ve created outside the home that have various levels of intimacy…in other words, your friendships (work, school, neighborhood). These, of course, are the people you have surrounded yourself with- the persons in your orbit who have a direct effect on your life to varying degrees. Here the 6 of Coins in reverse suggests an unproductive relationship with these people. They may be using unfair tactics to keep you in a subordinate position. You are not getting what you need from them. Either they are willfully withholding or they are not able to give any more than what’s being demanded. Father says, you are so much better than to allow others who cannot find your worth nor appreciate your gifts to spiral you down. Do you attract these kinds of situations? Perhaps you do in order to find the impetus to break free & find your own value for yourself. (Because you’ll not find it with these people!) It’s time for you to come into your own- to mature & grow into your full potential.

Because your skills & talents are not being appreciated nor properly compensated for, Father suggests it may be time to set your sights elsewhere. Be aware, you could be accused of being selfish as you pull in your energies to benefit yourself as you actively search for a new direction. These people have grown too accustomed and dependent on your generous spirit for their survival but please know they will live without you as you set out to find a more attractive fit.

However, you may feel a bit directionless and a bit ‘turned around’ as you seek this. Father suggests you shoot for a new situation where you can utilize all your resources (talent, skill set, experience, connections, logic, wit, compassion, interpersonal skills, passion) even if you cannot see where this hunt may lead you right now. In your quest to find it, he asks, “Where is your focus? What are you doing with your abilities? Where do you see yourself going?” Allow yourself to be led by your present skill set, having faith in your abilities and the belief that there’s more to be had “out there”. It’s in the exploration for what’s “out there” you find a richness of experience as well as more skills to acquire. Remember, it’s not enough “to know things”-some things you need to discover on your own. All your book smarts, degrees or bulk of information cannot compare to the priceless kind that can only be discovered through direct experience led by instinct. Only you can do that.  The Father recognizes your potential for mastery even if you do not. He encourages you to have as much confidence in your abilities as he has in you. He would also like to remind you; you are in control & have incredible power to accomplish whatever you set your sights upon.
