“Power in Flux & A Return Home”: Reading for The Collective

There are rumblings, subtle shifts happening beneath the observable surface perceivable to those who have been paying attention. There’s a welcomed return to the Light and with that comes new clarity. A sobering realization breaking from shallowness & materialism, a release from bondage whereby connection to Spirit is restored and greater freedom attained. The Thunder element of this card represents changing dynamics and provides powerful energy behind new plans and initiatives. Darkness and stagnation cannot last forever & once change starts to gain momentum we will be faced with a new beginning & a fresh chance. Wherever there’s been depletion, we are experiencing revitalization; a bringing back to life after a long sleep and a coming back to ourselves. Here, we see a returning to the proper path after making a detour represented by the 8 of Cups. After an unsuccessful search for satisfying answers or solutions, we are forced to “come back home”, back to where we started and clean up messes.  There’s also an element of finger pointing attempting to lay blame on someone instead of taking accountability. Whose fault was it anyway? Who ultimately made those choices? There’s power in making a choice. There are also powerful & mysterious external forces supporting those choices. Should we be examining the people or things currently exercising power over us and our lives? The Hierophant/ Devil reversed speaks to the rejection of materialism & a return to simple traditional social values & belief systems. Perhaps you are returning to what you had previously walked away from. The Hierophant, holding the keys to Heaven or Hell, serves as a reminder that established structures of traditional ethics, codes of conduct & morality can be load bearing & not always imprisoning. Comfort can come from its stability & be a blessing. Divine instruction helping those in need, searching for an answer to life’s larger questions & mysteries. Hierophant unlocks spiritual knowledge, introducing you to the fact that there’s much more “out there”; more going on behind the scenes of reality than you have ever being taught to believe. He initiates you into the knowledge that the world is not what you think it is & to set yourself free from limiting constraints of faith, belief & your previous understanding of the material world.

This combo also speaks to the liberation from idolization & reverence of central agencies, governing organizations and their authority figures, the keepers of official wisdom, such as the WHO, CDC, FDA, just to name a few, whose authority had been sacrosanct and any rebellion against their advice, guidance or instruction would be seen as blasphemous. The Devil speaks to their damaged reputation & loss of prestige. We’ve seen through their deviousness & are taking control back & following our own path -one founded by back-to-basics ethics & morality- divorcing ourselves from their oppressive abuse of power, intimidation, oppressive restrictions & edicts. These are the keys to a wholehearted rejection of evil refusing to be a slave again.
