The Libido represents the situation at hand. Desire ~ what do you want? It can relate to our sexual nature, but really it's anything we're lusting after. It’s the primal life force energy within each of us, motivating us to move forward & get our needs met. Handled well, desire is productive ~ it births something beautifully original, immerses you in pleasure & play. Handled poorly, it's the precursor to a downfall: all-consuming, messy, ultimately destructive. This week's message is about which version of that energy you're going to choose.
Right now, you're focused on what's lost ~ grief engulfed in self-absorbed sorrow, a fixation on your "spilled milk." But what's done is done. There's no going back; that Rubicon river has already been crossed. The way out isn't in what's pooling on the ground~ it's behind you, the bridge into the 4 of Wands, grounding (4) after conflict (5). What do you actually desire? To keep wallowing in disappointment, or to celebrate what comes next? You'll have to take it off that dark cloak you're wearing before crossing because it’s about to tip over and ruin whatever's left in your cups. Easier said than done ~ you've earned the right to grieve, and I'm not denying the pain or turmoil you've felt. But the stone fortress in the background tells me you've been camped here far too long, building walls between yourself & the very life force that wants to move you forward.
The 4 of Wands is an invitation into the land of the living ~ the other side of that bridge, welcoming stability & contentment. It's Libido expressed well: desire channeled instead of drowned in. Associated with Venus in Aries, it can symbolize lust, the drive to get what you want, and the reminder that asserting yourself is an act of self-love. Its energy is charming & warm ~ the perfect medicine for a wounded soul, maybe the exact archetype you're being asked to wear now: someone who appears gentle but is actually forceful and determined underneath. Recognize the support around you ~ they want to see you happy again. Celebrate what you've accomplished, not what you've lost. You just have to want it.

Saturn, like the Witch reversed, carries conservative and conventional energy — which isn't always a bad or oppressive thing. It asks you to apply the brakes in a situation that feels too changeable, offering a chance to slow down and pull your energy inward so you can get serious and disciplined about how you truly want to express yourself in the world. It's an invitation to carefully consider how best to use your talents and gifts. Both cards explore themes of self-identity in an ever-changing environment: Can you stay adaptable while remaining true to yourself — to your values and private thoughts, the things that reveal what you actually feel — rather than conforming to the shapes others build for you?
In terms of expressing your identity, where have you either played it too safe, or rejected convention just for the sake of rebellion? Either way, you may be trying to fit into a shape that isn't quite true to who you are — a phase of costuming you're working through.
You don't need to throw the baby out with the bathwater when it comes to convention. Established processes have lasted this long because they actually work. But you can draw from them for inspiration — the way a painter studies life not to copy it, but to express their own unique perspective.
The Painter is ultimately an interpreter of the world they witness. Your task is to bring forward your unique vision, filtered through your own perspective and experience — painting the situation the way you've imagined it could become, in your own voice, your own style, using the colors in your own paintbox. Let this be a playful expression of whatever you've been imagining, dreaming, envisioning. Bring it into the world — translate that vision into something tangible and real.

Pluto energy can be destructive or regenerative, depending on its use ~ typically one precedes the other clearing away everything no longer useful in our lives. Pluto rules sex, life, death, and our ability to evolve toward our true potential. It governs guilt, creating villains & victims through its devastating nature. But after the destruction & purification of the soul comes a promise of liberation ~ the parting of ways with something unhealthy ~ deciding it's killing you more to stay than to go.
Here, Pluto shows up around Separation in a relationship you're saying goodbye to. Uranus is the split ~ the break from anyone/anything you once had an attraction to, a contract with, or a lasting bond with. This doesn't have to mean divorce or a dramatic romantic breakup ~ it can be as simple as breaking a toxic habit you've been giving your power away to. Either way, it's time to go your separate ways.
At first you'll feel like a fish out of water ~ overwhelmed, unable to heed your own advice or hear your inner knowing, falling prey to others who don't know the particulars. But you'll learn to honor that inner voice ~ the one that's been sounding like a PSA, warning you that you were losing yourself trying to maintain this relationship. Were you misled, or did you naively let yourself be compromised? Doesn't matter ~ it's time to lovingly let it go & create a new beginning. This may not be the news that pleases the other ~ but it speaks the truth of your soul.
A whole new world opens up. New opportunities/ possibilities are at hand, ready for you to step into. A protective bubble grows around you as you test this out & put the past to bed. You're beating the odds now ~ you get your flowers. Just don't beat yourself up in the process. Hard as it is, you may have to muscle through this on your own steam. But the struggle is temporary, so don't make it harder than it needs to be. Only carry what's essential ~and only what's actually yours. Put the responsibility, including the guilt, back on others where it belongs.

Outcome: 9 of Cups
The Moira, personification of destiny, speaks to reconciling yourself with your life circumstances and coming to terms with them. This stirs a bitter inner conflict: do you struggle to choose a different path, or accept what fate has brought? It's a harsh realization that one's fate is the result of prior choices ~ the karma of habit. Saturn fights for your soul here: will you stay hard, unyielding, and hostile, cursing life, or will you accept and make the most of the time allotted to you?
