Guidance for February 26, 2023:
“Rabbit Holes”
Your Relationship to AWAKENING:
This week speaks to you coming around & seeing things in a new light or finally “seeing the light” in regard to a situation or the world at large. Many are in a period of “waking up” to the reality of this world and are experiencing a spiritual awakening. On a journey seeking illumination- the revealing of truth, their own transcendence & the ousting of darkness. The process can be a subtle, gentle reveal or very challenging throwing you for a complete loop. Awakening takes bravery, the willingness to release all that you thought you knew & requires one to make the conscious choice to stay open to alternative points of view. That said, Epoch warns against blindly following every story, tumbling down every rabbit hole, without a strong sense of discernment or this will throw you off path. For the most part, your gut & intuition have been on point but it would be better to embrace a sense of healthy skepticism when encountering new people, information or ideas. While trust is a virtue, some may not be worthy of it.
Dog advises to “Drop the Leash” & not subjugate your own self-authority by thinking that others know more than you. Be wary about trusting the so-called “experts” with complete & total devotion no matter what the subject matter is. Honor & respect others as teachers but not masters. For when one does, it can leave you powerless, dependent upon them to show you “the way” instead of letting Spirit be your one true master. Pause long enough to gather your mental & physiological energy. Wisdom will determine when it’s time to seek guidance, where to look next & provide you the discernment to determine the valuable from the valueless.

Not all soul mate relationships are blissful reunions. Some bring you to your knees leaving your heart unfulfilled & broken. These upsetting interactions can have a negative impact on your outlook on love & potential partnerships. The lasting hurt from a disappointing heartbreak or a run of failed romances can leave you discouraged & cynical of ever finding a sacred & unique partnership. A connection of the most sublime highest form, one of deep intimacy & harmony; a relationship truly made in heaven. But now it’s time to overcome issues from past hurts & not let the opportunity to do things differently pass you by. Don’t let the pain of the past ice over your heart building barriers from giving Love another chance. You can find the blessing, even in the disappointment of less that optimum relationships. There are unexpected gifts to be found in these romantic missteps. The Blessings card calls for you to look at these encounters as a chance to recognize some part of the experience as special, real & unique & be thankful for its arrival. These types of karmic soul mates brought hard lessons and the opportunity to face some uncomfortable truths. So, rather that focus on what they did to you, instead focus on what did you learn from the experience. Did you settle for mediocrity because you were burnt out from looking for the right fit? Or believed that despite your best efforts, you’d never get the kindred spirit you desired? Since you’ve gotten burned by being too impulsive or aggressive, you’ve learned to not rush into a love relationship but take a “wait & see” approach. That it’s best to think first before acting, being very sure you want what you are chasing after since you’ve found it less than desirable once you got it. And if it is, there’s no point to lying to yourself that it’s something more than it is.

The Past is complicated. It has sweetness as well as ugly bits; all integral to your character & how you see the world. Here we look at the influence of family, of parents, grandparents, etc and their effect on your life’s journey. Their stories provide a greater understanding of where we came from, who we are & where our paths may lead. Avenoir is a melancholy, wistful desire that memories could flow backward giving one a chance to appreciate where you’ve been, how you got there & the people that made it all possible. However, in this position it calls to your fear of memories from the past flowing into your future. It’s appearance encourages you to view the past from a different and hopefully, matured perspective. Avenoir is a healing card urging you to understand the role the past is playing in the direction you’re heading and surrender by making peace with it. Rather than fearing the weight of its legacy, it’s possible to appreciate the beauty of your origin story by being grateful for any inherited qualities or gifts -especially those that provide reassurance & strength during times of change. And so, you chose freedom from the pain of being bound by your own personal stuff that comes when one is solely focused on the disappointments, hurt & “dead things” from the past; the things that steal the sweetness from today & make difficulties moving forward. There’s a real sense of blossoming or entering into a new chapter. If there’s residual concerns of forgiveness from past familial estrangements, try to come to a place of harmony with them now as you may need help in the form of protection & guidance. Here their presence is a bonus. The Witch is a lucky card & when drawn, situations turn in your favor. Are you being reminded of how lucky you are to have your family to share new adventures with? Or to have their support after periods of loss? Or to feel the spiritual influence of ancestors in the form of a talent for cooking or a gift for numbers? With the Witch, they may even be communicating guidance through signs, dreams or a voice in your head. Whether they are still alive or have passed to spirit, their presence still has a marked effect on your life’s journey and stand with you as life unveils what’s coming. They knew, just like you will when traveling the Unknown, that there’s a sweetness & joy in the gradual reveal of what God has in store.
February 5, 2023: “Bruised Faith”

Ah, you poor little Fool. Your intentions were so good and pure. Why did no one give you a heads up? Instead they just watched as you took a header. Ouch! Given the choice of two paths, were you led down the wrong one by those you thought had your best interest in mind? That wound of failure is bruising your faith. Shy of trying anything new again or of laying your trust in another after they made you a chump. It was just a hard lesson to learn and now you carry the shame & pain of being too innocent. Shaken by the fragility of your (& others) humanness, it certainly was a hit to the confidence not to mention your soul. It’s damaged your relationship to faith- in people, in your abilities, in being supported when journeying into the unknown, maybe even in God and that sorta sucks. Discouraging yes, but you can’t let that stop you. The healing needed is represented by the Ace of Pentacles. Are you being handed a miracle or just a reality check? You may look like a tough cookie, but the pain from past disappointments has your heart feeling vulnerable. Getting your hands on a “big win” could really boost your confidence right about now. It could be the push you need to want to get back out there & recoup some momentum, recapturing that spring in your step. It’s going to take a little effort & work, to recover any loss in status, strength, or esteem…including self-confidence. You can take heart in now being a little wiser and less naïve as to who’s really “on your side” & who were the weasels pushing you to reckless action or harmful situations. A valuable lesson indeed. Chariot seems to be taking advantage of this new day- the impetus of new energy to mend his reputation or public persona. It confirms you’re moving in the right direction, so keep going. Don’t bother looking back in regret over past actions or mistakes but rather have faith in your own talent & skill. You are more than capable of tackling any obstacle especially now, equipped with the knowledge gained from past mess ups. Take that pain & transform it into a better understanding of human nature; for an improved level of discernment for the character & true intent of people who profess to be on your side. You’ll be met with comrades who “get you” and understand your objective. Blow past the ones that only want to throw sticks in your spokes. Above all, pray for strength to keep your emotions balanced & in-check so not to derail your purpose & the discipline to stay on track.
