This week you may be reminded of the valuable lesson you learned about relationships & how far you’ve come. You’ve recognized how in the past you may have put unrealistic expectations on partners forcing them to live up to the ideals in your head. No longer obsessed in an unhealthy way with love or sex, you recognize your lover is human & is not to be idolized. Now, you successfully avoid making unfair comparisons with new crushes to past lovers, those who seemed perfect or those you demonized because they fell from grace. Instead you allowed a new concept of love evolve in your heart & mind. Moving past extremes & losing yourself completely in relationships, you found a balance in the love game. You learned the prettiest key may be tempting but may not be all that it seems. What looks good on paper could have some dark nasty skeletons in their closet. You discovered that person was just a detour from what you really desired. You also realized not to make the obvious choice, that by walking through ‘the unexpected door” you could yield the most gratifying rewards & valuable lessons. It may have taken a few disappointments to discover that you could be ok without a partner or a romance. In fact, it’s through these failures that you reevaluated all the love relationships in your life. Realizing that seeking a love partner it’s not the cure all for everything that ails you and truthfully, the pursuit of a partner or sex was really just holding you back from healing or facing what needed to be processed within. Here you learned that to find kindness & love, you must be kind & loving to yourself. A healthy relationship requires two independent people who consciously commit to being the best version of themselves and the key to finding the right partner is one who is just as committed in finding a relationship based on honesty, support, trust, respect & cooperation as you are.
Guidance for January 23, 2022: “Progress not Perfection”
Anxious to energetically start something new you are thwarted from putting your desired plans into action. There are losses being incurred because you cannot achieve something therefore it’s creating challenges to your health, libido, immune system, creativity, or bonds in partnerships. But perhaps you brought this hardship on yourself as a result of poor choices made. Nauthiz represents our past actions catching up with us restricting any future action. The necessity of hardship, life lessons and of being forced to grow. It’s not a situation you would have ever chosen for yourself but often it’s through adversity that we discover new solutions to deal with our old problems.
So before you can make forward movement, you must face and deal with your demons as well as question if your life has become out of control in some respects. Perhaps you invited your own misfortunes by being a victim of your own nature or habits. Maybe you were too receptive when you should have been a bit more discriminating and so you find yourself entrenched in loss & hardship. There are times when we are our own worst enemy. When our inability to control ourselves leads us to a state of grief but Nauthiz tells us we can always get back on track.
Our desires & ideals can eclipse our true need & perception of real circumstances. Nauthiz represent actions governed by common sense so before you take any action have a realistic view of your problems & how they affect your life. By recognizing the reality of your situation & how you got here, you can embrace this obstacle as a time to take responsibility & do things the “right way” with dedication. No longer blaming others for your faults, you lean on the reliance on the Self to have the ability to overcome confusion and conflict. You will have to commit to "the follow through" as any promises made will be expected to be upheld. Nauthiz is not an easy rune. There’s friction, hard work, lessons learned the hard way but yet all these lead to strength.
Armed with humility, you can learn from your past mistakes but also from the errors & successes of others. You need to get real with yourself and do what needs to be done if you want to stay on the right path. Try keeping your anger & impulses under control. It will also be helpful to release frustration and impatience, letting the energy flow freely around you while not losing sight of the essential. A good mood & modesty is essential for progress moving forward. Progress not perfection.

Guidance for January 16, 2022: "Faced with a Moral Dilemma”

At this time you could be met with a situation that goes against your own code of ethics caused by a lack of movement (due to lockdowns, logistic delays, journey plans cancelled) or your progress being halted (due promotions denied, delayed return to work/school, business advancements retracted). The Priest represents spirituality and so morality plays a big part in this situation. A situation where those in authority are preaching what’s right or wrong to you. However, there are Higher Laws that stand solidly in the background. The sacred Universal Law of the Divine is the ultimate Word. In society, there are rules, mandates or laws that although socially acceptable are incongruent with human decency or ethics. Conversely, what’s morally correct may be civilly unlawful in some cases. Here, difficulties are experienced because you’ve been forced to take a step backward because of your “sins”. Whatever the circumstance, your momentum has been stalled and so entry is denied. You seriously question the morality of the situation as it feels like a grave injustice to be put in a situation where you may have to compromise your ideals. The Priest suggests an examination of your conscience and serves to remind you are personal responsible for your thoughts & actions. The challenge will be on which path you take and the question, will you compromise your ethics? Are your actions congruent with what your preaching?
Both Merchant & Journey are reversed, which could indicate someone playing you for a fool to get what they want. Do they want to hold you back? The Merchant asks you to use your skills to your best advantage. The Whale represents those skills: of being able to listen deeply to the undercurrents (especially of what’s judgements are brewing in the background). Of what’s being said, or not said. Nonverbal communication, picking up on vibes, reading the energy of situation or a person. Don’t bother trying to negotiate or sell them on your idea or viewpoint. It would be in vain. In fact, refuse to discuss it but go & choose the most right, moral & just option that resonates with your personal book of ethics. The Priest suggests perhaps the support from a religious organization proving helpful to you. These authorities play by a different set of rules. Ethically, you are not on the same page & a legal judgement may have to be involved as the Priest also represents legal opinions.

YOu may be missing a great opportunity to create something new for yourself because you are failing to wake up to possibilities around you and recognize the master within. It can be yours only IF you fight for it. The power to develop a new start is here but its blocked, going unnoticed or perhaps you are just unwilling to put in the effort. You may be guilty of not exercising your will against that which threatens you. In fact, with the Hostilities card here in reverse, you are laying down the sword too early and not standing up to confront an old enemy. Since the sword is directing those hostilities inward, could this be yourself? Are you blind to the abuse being directed towards you by YOU? All these magical, transformative & alchemical energies are here for the taking but you’re too busy beating yourself up with unkind thoughts, doubt and inner slander. Throw off the self-limiting beliefs of thinking maybe you're too old, not strong enough, or “life’s not fair”. The energies at this time are supporting you to pull the ripcord on your parachute & eject yourself from a less than desirable situation. You have the potential to end any unhelpful, unsatisfying or unhealthy relationships. Especially to how you negatively perceive yourself with all that disparaging inner dialogue. This is an opportunity to start over with a clean slate. A chance to create & start anew- wherever there’s a place in your life for a new direction. Dig deep, find the courage to make a new contract with yourself or another. Or else, you run the risk of regression or being disappointed for letting that magical time pregnant with potential pass you by.

At this time you could be presented with an opportunity to become more than you are right now since The Chariot, a card of expansion & adventure, invites you to take further control of your life’s direction & put yourself out there. This opportunity will be a vehicle for advancement, a way to further propel your evolution in some aspect in your life. Having complete confidence in your talents & your ability, you are bound to complete your objective in no time. You’re well positioned to move forward with something on your terms unhindered but this is progress will be through hard work & your ability to work well with others - not just your charm. Although your leadership, abilities & drive will be recognized, you may have to tone down your ambition a little bit. Since the theme of the 1st house is who you are & how you project yourself into the world, you run the risk of being viewed as bossy or domineering. There’s a chance you could come off as overwhelming & end up irritating the exact people you are striving to impress. Consider how you are you appearing to this other person? Is that the image you want to portray? In your intense desire to climb the ladder of success, you could rub some influential people the wrong way thereby undercutting your potential or reputation. This challenging aspect to an unchecked ego could slow down your progress & be the proverbial stick in the spoke of your wheel. In regard to your peers, is there a danger of possibly steamrolling other’s plans or desires in favor of your own ambition? Be aware, there are others involved in this vision and they have just as much talent & drive as you. Most likely, you’ll end up working together as a team, so remember to weigh the feelings & viewpoints of the other members. So instead of “coming in hot” thinking you’re going to run the show, you’d do better to learn the art of collaboration & make allies. There’s much to learn from them but you have much to teach as well. You will build better relationships by being committed to working toward a common purpose. Collaborating with those who can put you further down the road you are traveling, advancing a project, goal or progress especially your own career, reputation, ambition.
Understand your position within the team dynamic. Watch your own ambitions and placing yourself inappropriately in a place of authority. Avoiding stepping on toes of the leader but instead learn from them. If you’re the leader, consider integrating different points of view into one action to build something of quality. You’ve worked too hard and come too far just to spoil it now. If you can overcome this potential obstacle by exhibiting balance & checking yourself (before you wreck yourself) you’ll do fine & learn much as a result.
